My name is Wendy Querube Ramos Castroverde. I'm from Coclé, I love practicing kickboxing, my hobbies are reading, writing and spending time in nature. I work in Panama Tourism Authority and also I tutoring elementary school kids. I am a mother of 3, I am single and I own two cats. Yes, I am a cat lady 😅, I really love my life as it is right now, I continue to build my world one day at a time with my goals and projects, among them are getting my degree in this career. So, there is still a lot to tell.
How important is it for you to develop your interpretation skills and what you would like to achieve with that.
First, I decided to study an English Degree because I want to become an English Professor. One of my goal is to work with teenagers and adults, however, I must accept that it was not a goal for me to be an interpreter or translator. It has been in this degree that I have learned the wonderful world of translation and interpreting, and I realize how important it is to develop this skill, which will serve me anywhere in the world. It is for this reason that I am very focused on continuing to prepare myself in this field, and to become certified as an official translator.

Conclusion: This subject has been very important for me, since I have acquired knowledge about cat tools and know the difference between each one of them. Besides the fact that I learned technical words related to each assigned project, I felt it was very enriching. On the other hand, in each translation we had to analyze the translated text and I am sure that we were able to verify that the translation techniques learned in previous semesters were applied in each of the assigned projects, another aspect that has been very gratifying for me. Of all the projects done, the two that I enjoyed the most were the translation of the excerpt from the novel La Casa de los Espíritus and the translation of Ted's video, since both projects are related to topics that I am passionate about; literature and mental health. I know that we still have a lot to learn in this field, however, we are ready to continue strengthening and expanding our knowledge.
