My name is Wendy Querube Ramos Castroverde. I'm from Coclé, I love practicing kickboxing, my hobbies are reading, writing and spending time in nature. I work in Panama Tourism Authority and also I tutoring elementary school kids. I am a mother of 3, I am single and I own two cats. Yes, I am a cat lady 😅, I really love my life as it is right now, I continue to build my world one day at a time with my goals and projects, among them are getting my degree in this career. So, there is still a lot to tell.
How important is it for you to develop your interpretation skills and what you would like to achieve with that.
First, I decided to study an English Degree because I want to become an English Professor. One of my goal is to work with teenagers and adults, however, I must accept that it was not a goal for me to be an interpreter or translator. It has been in this degree that I have learned the wonderful world of translation and interpreting, and I realize how important it is to develop this skill, which will serve me anywhere in the world. It is for this reason that I am very focused on continuing to prepare myself in this field, and to become certified as an official translator.
INTRODUCTION:
In this course we develop a critical mentality related to the different translation techniques that a good translator uses when performing his or her work. Likewise, it is necessary to analyze which techniques are the most appropriate for the document to be translated, in order to deliver a successful translation.

Conclusion:
Making this portfolio was very interesting, since I was able to carry out projects in other languages besides English and Spanish, such as Italian. I think that working on the Google Site is more attractive and motivating, because we can extend our imagination and be creative in the realization of each project.
Projects 3A and 3B were one of the most interesting for me, as I enjoy literature so much, being able to understand that there are concepts in different languages that should not be translated, so that the reader can understand the writer's point of view, was very interesting. Another project that I really enjoyed doing were the 4A and 4B projects, I really learned what the adaptation technique means, in which the artists had to recreate the lyrics to make them commercial and understandable to the final audience.
I feel that Professor Andre Dumolin has a full knowledge of the subject, I have learned a lot with him in these last four semesters. If I could suggest something, it would be that projects such as analyzing songs that have been adapted to other languages should be mandatory, and not optional, and I mention this project specifically, because it has been one of the ones that I consider, I have learned the most. I am very grateful for Professor Dumolin's dedication, I must say that it motivates me to be a university professor, since his vocation is contagious.
