Career Services
In today's world, we are surrounded by data ... lots of data! From Twitter feeds, Facebook posts, election polling to global COVID statistics, the processing of large volumes of data is vitally important to the business world. Very important business decisions are based on data and, therefore, successful business graduates must be aware of the processes that go behind the scenes to transform data into useful and actionable information.
In this session, students will learn more about two foundational analytics courses: Business Statistics and Analytics MGMT 2262 (a required course for all Business students) and Business Statistics II MGMT 2263 (a required course for Accounting majors). We will discuss how these courses prepare you to engage in data gathering, data processing and presenting results to stakeholders as part of your degree and your future career.

Innovation
Innovators understand society's most complex problems. Innovators create or improve every product or service that you love. Innovators improve your experiences at school, work, and at play. Innovators turn their ideas into businesses. Innovators change the world.
These innovators and changemakers are entrepreneurs and social innovators. And we really need folks like this in our community today. Our world has changed with the onset of COVID 19. We need creative and entrepreneurial-minded innovators and changemakers to understand the systems and chart new paths to help us ‘'bounce back”.
Innovators and changemakers don’t choose between chasing wealth and making the world a better place. In the areas of social innovation and entrepreneurship, making money and making a positive difference in the world are not mutually exclusive goals.
Do you want...
To lead, design, and execute high-impact, transformative change in our communities.
To learn to spot opportunities and to build a problem-solving mindset
To build a valuable network of professionals and peers
To work for a dynamic, growth-oriented company that values innovative employees
To leave your mark on the world and possibly start your own venture
If you said 'yes' to any of these questions, please join our Virtual Classroom Session at the Bissett New Student Orientation and explore a Concentration or Minor in either Innovation and Entrepreneurship or Social Innovation where we ‘learn by doing’.
Exploration is the engine that drives innovation.
Innovation drives economic growth.
So let's all go exploring."
