WELCOME TO THE WESLACO EAST HS ORCHESTRA!

The Weslaco East High School Orchestra is composed of 9th - 12th-grade students who perform at Elementary Schools, community events, Christmas Concerts, Spring Concerts as well as competing at UIL Evaluation Contests.

The Middle School Orchestras are composed of a beginner ensemble composed of sixth-grade students, a varsity ensemble composed of 7th and 8th-grade students. Throughout the years the Dr. Armando Cuellar Middle School & Mary Hoge Middle School orchestras have been combined.

Students have the opportunity to compete at the All-Region Orchestra Auditions, which requires dedication, and perfection to perform multiple etudes.

CONGRATS!!!! Adrian Alejandro placed 3rd place at the All-Region Orchestra Contest as a Cellist.

CONGRATS!!!! WEHS Wildcat Orchestra students that have earned spots in the Region 28 Orchestra Clinic and Concert!

"I have a bachelor’s degree in Music from Olivet College and a Master of Music Education degree from Michigan State University. For the past 23 years, I have been teaching in the Advanced Academics Academy and QUEST department. I was a band director for 12 years before moving to Gifted and Talented Education. I played in the Valley Symphony Orchestra for 9 years, the Jackson Symphony Orchestra for 10 years as well as the Orchestras in my High School and College."
