I have been teaching for sixteen years, nine of those years with Weslaco East, and the last five years as the Director of Bands. I graduated from United South High School in Laredo, Texas. I attended West Texas A&M University, where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and a Master of Arts with an emphasis in conducting. In the Fall of 2021, I earned my Principal Certification from Lamar University."

"I am the Low Brass Director at Weslaco East High School. I have been teaching for 4 years and I have enjoyed every minute of it! I graduated from Palmview High School in La Joya, Texas. I then went to college at Texas A&M University-Kingsville where I received my bachelor’s degree in Music Education with a teaching certification. When I am not teaching, I enjoy playing my instrument with local jazz groups, Latin groups, and even rock bands! The opportunities for musicians are endless!"

"I am Victoria Ledesma Garza and I am the Woodwind Director at Weslaco East High School. I am also the conductor for the Dr. Armando Cuellar MS Concert Band, which earned their first sweepstakes in school history in the Spring of 2020. I also assist with the flutes at Mary Hoge MS. I graduated from Sharyland High School in 2010 and then attended Texas A&M University- Kingsville where I graduated in 2014 with a BA in Music Education. During my time at TAMUK, I was a member of the Marching Band, Concert Band, Wind Symphony, the TAMUK Flute Studio, and Tau Beta Sigma, National Honorary Band Sorority. After gaining my BA, I began my teaching career at Weslaco ISD and am now entering my seventh year of teaching. I currently live in Weslaco with my husband of five years and with my three fur babies, one dog, and two cats. "

I am Danny Hilton and I am the Assistant Band Director at Weslaco East High School and Assistant Band Director at Cuellar Middle School. I was born in San Juan but went to school in Donna where I graduated from Donna High School in 2005. I received a music scholarship from the University of Texas at Brownsville and moved there to pursue my degree in music education. Despite many obstacles, I earned a Bachelor's in Music in 2012 from the University of Texas at Brownsville. I was fortunate to find a high brass opening at Weslaco East HS in October of 2012. The past 8 years have gone by in the blink of an eye and yet I have acquired so many positive experiences. I thank God for the opportunities He has given me! The icing on the cake is that I can honestly say that I have learned so much from my amazing students and my amazing colleagues!

"I am Olivia Aguayo Martinez and I am the Head Band Director at Cuellar Middle School and Assistant Band Director at Weslaco East High School. I was born and raised in this great city of Weslaco! I graduated in 2000 from Weslaco High School and went to college to pursue a degree in music. I earned a Bachelor's in Music from the University of Texas in San Antonio in 2005. I was thrilled when a job opened up in my Alma Mater and I have been teaching in Weslaco ISD ever since! Going strong on 15 years now! I love teaching my kids about the art and beauty of making music and about appreciating different Genres of music!"

"Hello, I am Laura Cedillo-Rivera, and I am the WEHS STARLETTE Director. I graduated from Weslaco High School in 2008. Following this, I attended the University of Texas at Austin where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Education in 2012. I then took a 2-year break before returning to school in Spring 2014 to earn my Master of Arts n History from the University of Texas- Rio Grande Valley with a Graduate Certificate in Mexican American Studies. I first began teaching in the Fall of 2012 at Weslaco High School as a Social Studies teacher where I continue to do so, going on 9 years. I also taught their Color Guard course from Fall 2012 to Fall 2013 before taking the STARLETTES Director position at Weslaco East Spring 2014. Since then, I have expanded the STARLETTES program to be a year-round program, participating in the competition for both dance and Color guard, separate from the Band, during the Spring semester."

"I am the Mariachi Director for Weslaco East High School from Weslaco Independent School District. I graduated from Weslaco High School and was a former player for "Mariachi Panthera." I graduated from The University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley where I earned a Bachelor of Music degree, a major in Classical Guitar as well as a background playing Mariachi, and different musical genres."
