7:00pm to 8.30pm  Entries to be registered.

Saturday 21st September 2024

9:00am to 9.45am  Last minute entries.

10:00am Closed private judging of entries by honey show judge and steward.

5.30pm Club opens for collection of exhibits and prizes.

Photography and Artwork will be judged by those attending the prize giving on the night. Voting slips will be issued on arrival at 5.45pm.

If registering cakes or biscuits on the Friday evening please bring along a tin or plastic container for storage.

Honey Show Rules

Exhibits and Entries

A rule is in place stating that a member can only win the cup for the most points scored, once during any four year period.

This is a family friendly competition and should be entered into with the spirit of gentle competition.

Standard rules (and spirit) of BBKA will apply.

Exhibits must be delivered to Esmeralda's, Grange Farm, Barsham, Beccles, NR34 8JN on Friday 20th September 2024, between  7:00pm and 8.30pm or Friday 20th September 2024 between 9.00am to 9.45am.

No exhibit should be removed until 5:30pm on the day of the show without the consent of the show Steward.

The current W.B.G. Subscription must have been paid prior to entry in Any classes.

A Beginner (novice) is defined as an individual who has not entered in any beginners class in previous years. 

A gift voucher to be given to all entrants the first time they enter any category in the show.

A gift voucher prize for the beginner with the most points.

Duplicate entries from an individual in one class can only gain one of the top places in that class

Exhibit Labelling Criteria

Class 1to 8 Show labels to be placed with the bottom of label 25mm (1inch) from base of jar.

Class 10 to 12 Label to be fixed centrally on uppermost surface.

Class 3 & 9 Label to be fixed on top right side of case or top of frame.

Class 13 to 16 Label to be fixed 1 inch up from bottom of bottle.

Class 17 to 20 Label to be placed on top in centre.

Class 21 & 22 Name of photograph and description to be placed on the bottom front of picture.

Class 27 & 28 An index sized card with the name of the exhibit and a brief description.
