Cryptography

Security in technology encompasses Computer security, Internet security, Website security, and network security. The ultimate objective of security is to establish certain protocols and preventive measures against attacks. Cryptography subscribes to the study of keeping information secrets and transforming it into a form that unintended recipients cannot understand by the method of encryption. Cryptographic algorithms protect communication data from unauthorized access. Several cryptographic techniques have been developed to provide data security by abiding by the security principles: Confidentiality, Integrity, Authentication, and Non-Repudiation. Some of the techniques have marked history: Steganography, Polyalphabetic Cypher, Vigenère Cypher, Data Encryption Standards (DES), Public Key Cryptography, and Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). The two main aspects of Cryptography are Public-key Cryptography and Private-key Cryptography.
