Folk tales tell of a raggedy band of merry men, women and all sorts that call the far West of Arebnak home. Proud Free People’s Leaguesmen, The Chimera Company is the exploration and guard division of Finder’s Keep, a ramshackle settlement built on the ruins of an Old-World outpost known previously as Castle Greyscale. The residents of Finder’s Keep have built up a shanty town free from tyranny and taxes- and rely on The Chimera Company to venture into the Wargrounds to plunder its resources to build and barter with. Chimeras don’t discriminate - loot is loot- so they’ll dig up treasures, uncover ruins, and strip skeletons for their garb - it’s not like the poor souls of the Old-World need 'em anymore!
The Chimera Company enter the fray willingly and often; they’re experts in asset recovery and skirmishing - after all, the twisted and powerful inhabitants of The Wargrounds won’t give up their goods and secrets without a fight! And fight they must do - between the Dread Horde marauders and The Empire’s own expeditionary forces, there’s conflict aplenty for them to face. Mixed weaponry, flanking manoeuvres and diversionary tactics allow Chimeras battlefield flexibility and a quick escape when needed- ideally with treasures in hand.
