The School District of Wabeno Area recognizes the impact of information and technology on our society. We have moved from a localized learning environment into a global learning center. The district recognizes the mobilization of the workforce and society. The School District of Wabeno Area believes that information and technology skills are essential to the development of productive life-long learners in the 21st century. Students must be able to function in a mobile environment flooded with information. They must analyze, synthesize, and evaluate all forms of information and apply it effectively.
I encourage students to document their process and pay close attention to the really difficult parts of creating and realizing an idea. More often than not, the first attempt is not the best work -- and that's okay! Mistakes are how we learn and grow.
Mrs. Kanak reserves the right to retain artwork produced by students for exhibition and reproduction as part of the K12 Art program, and has a non-exclusive, royalty-free, license to photograph, post on social media, or otherwise use or display student work for marketing, promotional, archival, reference, research, classroom, educational, and other purposes.
I will label artwork by grade level, class section and/or classroom teacher. This protects the privacy of the student and families.**
** If students post progress or project images from their own account and wish to include personal information, that is their decision.
