I grew up in the Chicago area and attended college at Northern Michigan University. My focus area there was drawing and painting, but I love all kinds of art and expression.

This will be my fifth year teaching Art in Wabeno and I have decided to pursue a Masters Degree in Art Education through The Art of Education University! I will be "graduating" with the Class of 2024 this June! Party details, tbd :)

My husband Dan and I live with our dog Ashmead, 2 cats named Loki and Thor, 31 chickens, my corn snake Cézanne, my ball python Impulse, seven crested geckos, and we also have a few (over 20!) aquariums in the house... we love animals! Dan loves to plant apple trees, work in his machine shop, build things, and make cider. I love to be in my kayak, draw, create, read, and make tasty meals. We work on projects together as much as we can.
