Audition Fees

Fees are not refundable, regardless of the timing or reasoning for the cancellation of an audition. As soon as an audition registration is submitted, payment is due for that audition.

The registration deadline is Friday, November 17, 2023.

$10 per band/orchestra audition

$10 per chorus audition

$5 per contemporary vocal a cappella ensemble audition

$15 per jazz ensemble audition

$15 per modern band audition

$20 per scholarship audition

   + any applicable late fees (see info below)

Beginning November 18, 2023, the following late fees apply in addition to the regular audition fees:

• $100 for a school that did not register any students prior to Nov. 17th

• $10 for any additions or corrections

Beginning December 1, 2023, the following late fees apply in addition to the regular audition fees:

• $100 for a school that did not register any students prior to Nov. 17th

• $20 for any additions or corrections

• $10 for a schedule change

Beginning January 8, 2024, the following late fees apply in addition to the regular audition fees:

• $100 for a school that did not register any students prior to Nov. 17th

• $30 for any additions, corrections, or schedule changes

On-site (January 13, 2024) audition requests are $50 each

PLEASE NOTE:

• Fees must be paid by check (payable to VMEA All State Music Festival).

• Checks must be issued by the school, a related school booster organization, or the music educator. Personal checks from parents/students are not acceptable.

We realize that the process of generating payments through school can be tedious. However, it is important that you communicate the urgency of timely payment to your school's financial office. Audition fee payments must be received prior to the audition date. If this timeline does not work for your school, then you should either write a personal check and seek reimbursement from your school or make alternate arrangements to ensure that payment is received before the audition date.
