Audition Registration
REGISTRATION ELIGIBILITY PREREQUISITES
Requirements to be aware of regarding participation in any aspect of the VT All State Music Festival.
The school must have paid its VMEA Organization Participation Fee. For questions and help regarding your VMEA fee, contact Gary Moreau (alwayssinging@comcast.net). VMEA participation fees should be mailed to Gary.
Any music educator registering students for auditions or participating in aspects of the festival must be a current member of the National Association for Music Education (NAFME). Process your membership application or renewal on the NAFME website.
The student must be a full-time high school student in a Vermont public, private, or state-approved home school and must be a member of the school's performing ensemble (assuming there is one) that correlates with the festival audition type.
For example: a student auditioning for placement in the All State Chorus must be a member of their school's chorus.
AUDITION CHANGES / CANCELLATIONS
Any requests for changes to auditions (misspelled student name, wrong instrument, wrong audition type, repertoire change for scholarship audition, etc.) must be submitted using the form linked below. There are fees associated with certain changes. Once students have been assigned an audition time, changing that time may not be possible unless there happen to be cancellations.
Any cancellations you become aware of prior to the audition day should also be reported by submitting using the form below. (You will be able to report cancellations during audition day check-in also.) Note that per All State regulations, there are no refunds for cancelled auditions, and audition fees remain due despite cancellations.
