Korean Community Services is a culturally and linguistically responsive community clinic dedicated to improving the well-being of immigrant communities through healthcare, social services, and community programs.
KCS ensures that individuals impacted by hate and trauma have access to comprehensive, trauma-informed care–regardless of immigration status, language, or insurance coverage.
As a Stop the Hate grantee, KCS leverages its trusted role in the community to expand access to mental health services, behavioral health navigation, and supportive resources that address both therapeutic needs and social determinants of health, including housing and basic needs.
They have strengthened its workforce and infrastructure to serve undocumented and uninsured populations, hired bilingual managers and care coordinators, and partnered with other AAPI community-based organizations to advance behavioral health access.
Through team-based, trauma-informed approaches, KCS meet clients where they are–providing individualized care plans, senior and community safety strategies, and educational opportunities for clients, families, and service providers.
They work to reduce stigma around mental health, cultivate culturally competent professionals, and strengthen networks that support survivors of hate and trauma across Orange County.
