Charitable Ventures of Orange County and Community Action Partnership of Orange County (CAP OC) partnered to establish the Orange County Black Solidarity Network (OCBSN), the first countywide backbone coalition of Black-serving organizations dedicated to advancing equity, safety, healing and wellness for Black communities. The coalition includes Black led and Black serving organizations such as 100 Black Men, Arts & Learning Conservatory, The Orange County Black Chamber, Council of African American Parents, The G.R.E.E.N Foundation, HEAAL OC and Thurgood Marshall Foundation.
As a Stop the Hate grantee, Charitable Ventures and CAP OC spearheaded building a coordinated infrastructure that strengthens cross-sector collaboration, expands access to culturally responsive resources, and elevates community-led solutions grounded in lived experience. OCBSN serves as a connector and capacity-building hub—aligning partners around shared strategy while ensuring Black-led organizations remain at the center of solution design.
