Stories of resilience, belonging, and community across Orange County and the Inland Empire.
Voices on the Map is a community storytelling project that uplifts experiences of identity, belonging, discrimination, healing, and hope. Through personal stories shared by residents and community organizations, this project highlights the impact of hate and the power of connection across our region.
Stories have the power to humanize experiences that statistics alone cannot capture. Despite the rise of hate incidents and hate crimes, reporting is still underreported due to fears of drawing more attention. By giving community members an opportunity to share their experiences through the Stop the Hate partner organizations that have supported these members, stories are a way to share the harm caused, support provided, and opportunities to foster belonging and resilience.
