The following instructions explain how to find the starting position, if you wish to start from the finish: the shipwright's workshop.
(It is, in fact, a duplicate of the previous song's instructions but written in reverse, with the words 'left' and 'right' flipped.)
Begin at the shipwright’s workshop, facing the rising morning sun.
Turn around so that your back is to the sun. You should now be facing west. Walk away from the workshop along the wooden path but only walk a short distance. Along this path, you will see a wall of ivy on your right (running up the walls of the jarl's home) and hanging furs to your left outside the tannery. Turn left here to trace another boardwalk that snakes across the village. Follow this wooden boardwalk. Stay on this path and do not turn off.
As you walk:
You will hear quiet prayers to the gods on your left, as you pass the temple.
You will hear the sounds of Viking merriment on your right, as you pass the rear of the longhouse.
You will pass a great black-and-white whale on your left, as you pass the whaling hut.
Continue along the boardwalk, even though it twists and turns, until you see the wooden bridge upon your left. Take the left-hand diversion, walk off the boardwalk onto the grass and walk up the hill. As you climb, you will continue to see the long wooden bridge on your left. Do not cross it—continue straight on. You will soon pass back through the tunnel of whale bones. Keep moving forward along the top of this ridge without stopping. Continue forward down the slope until you reach the place where this quest began: the chair and barrel awaits for you. Perhaps you may want to sit a while on the chair there and rest your feet.
This is where the trail began—and where the secret waits to be understood: a Viking trophy waits for you, upon the top of the barrel. Take it as your prize ... take it as your prize!
