This section offers eight Viking stories from the third storytelling session at Vigra.
Rooted in fire-lit memory and the deepening shadow of the old tales, these tales carry the raw pulse of legend reborn.
Here, the saga unfolds with greater fury and grace—richer in rhythm, sharper in sorrow, and truer to the bones of the north.
From storm-worn coastlines to halls beyond the veil, these voices rise once more, forging new myth from ancient flame.
Gather round, kin of Vigra, to the fire’s flickering light,
Tonight we weave new sagas, where shadows dance with night.
Six tales we bring to hearth and hall, of gods and men and fate,
Of battles fought, of oaths betrayed, of journeys to the gate.
In fen and marsh, where shadows creep,
A warrior's oath, his promise deep.
Through mire and mist, he fought with might,
His deeds now sung in the pale moonlight.
A builder's craft, a god's command,
From Loki's trick, a steed so grand.
Eight-legged horse, with speed untold,
Born of mischief, in tales of old.
Dagur's journey, far and wide,
Through trials faced, with none beside.
His saga continues, bold and true,
In every step, the north winds blew.
Odin sought wisdom, deep and vast,
To Mimir's well, he journeyed past.
A price he paid, his eye for lore,
To understand the world's deep core.
Hung on Yggdrasil, nine nights long,
Odin sacrificed, to make him strong.
The runes he found, in pain and strife,
Gained the keys to magic's life.
Beneath the waves, where monsters dwell,
Thor faced the serpent, in the deep's cold swell.
With Mjölnir raised, he struck with might,
To protect Midgard, from endless night.
So hear these tales, of gods and men,
Of journeys taken, of battles won and then,
Of love and loss, of fate entwined,
In song and story, our hearts aligned.
Let the fire burn, let the tales be told,
In the warmth of the hearth, in the night's embrace so bold.
For in these stories, we find our way,
Through the shadows of night, into the light of day.
