This section presents eight Viking songs from the second storytelling session at Vigra.
Building upon the tales first told, these songs dive deeper into the legacy of the Norse—bolder, darker, and more refined.
Forged in the echoes of the first gathering and carried by wind and flame, they bear the weight of myth and memory alike.
Each piece adds new strength to the living tradition, echoing the voices that continue to shape Vigra's enduring saga.
Gather round, kin of Vigra, to the fire’s flickering light,
Tonight we weave new sagas, where shadows dance with night.
Six tales we bring to hearth and hall, of gods and men and fate,
Of battles fought, of oaths betrayed, of journeys to the gate.
In the halls of Asgard, where the gods do dwell,
Thor's mighty hammer was stolen — none could tell.
Through realms he searched, with fury and might,
To reclaim his weapon, to set things right.
Loki, the trickster, with mischief in his eyes,
Deceived the gods with cunning lies.
Bound by chains, beneath the earth's deep,
A lesson learned — the price of deceit.
Egil, the poet, with words so sharp,
Sang of battles, of death, and the harp.
His death-song echoed through the land,
A legacy of a warrior's stand.
Dagur, the wanderer, with a heart so bold,
Continued his journey, his story unfolds.
Through trials and triumphs, his path was set,
A saga of courage, of no regret.
Twoshadows, the seer, with visions clear,
Saw the future, the far and near.
Guided by omens, by signs and dreams,
He walked the path where destiny streams.
Skadi, the huntress, with snow at her feet,
Chose a husband by laughter, a challenge to meet.
In mountains she dwelled, with bow in hand,
A tale of love in the frozen land.
So hear these tales, of gods and men,
Of journeys taken, of battles won and then,
Of love and loss, of fate entwined,
In song and story, our hearts aligned.
Let the fire burn, let the tales be told,
In the warmth of the hearth, in the night's embrace so bold.
For in these stories, we find our way,
Through the shadows of night, into the light of day.
