Loki, the trickster, with mischief in his eyes,

Deceived the gods with cunning lies.

Bound by chains, beneath the earth's deep,

Egil, the poet, with words so sharp,

Sang of battles, of death, and the harp.

His death-song echoed through the land,

Dagur, the wanderer, with a heart so bold,
