Begin by sitting on the chair beside the wooden barrel. There is a secret here—something to notice or discover before you leave.
When you are ready, stand up, turn to face east, and walk forward. Move up the short slope to the top of the hill, then continue straight ahead. You will pass through a tunnel made of bones. Do not stop—keep walking without fear. Soon, you will see a bridge on your right. Ignore it and continue straight on, heading down the hill. At the bottom, you will reach a wooden boardwalk. Here, you have two choices: left or right. Take the right-hand path. Follow this boardwalk all the way without turning off. As you walk:
You will pass a great black-and-white creature on your right.
You will hear the sounds of Viking merriment on your left.
You will hear quiet prayers to the gods on your right.
Continue to the end of the boardwalk. Ahead, you will see a wall covered in ivy, with hanging furs on your right. Turn right here onto a new wooden path. This final path is short and leads directly to the shipbuilder’s workshop and home. You will arrive facing the rising morning sun, where the shipwright is at work on a new vessel. You have now reached the end of the trail.
But consider this: where was the secret place at the beginning?
