As part of the Technical Innovations in Theory and Practice project, we have already carried out the third foreign mobility. The project is implemented thanks to the Erasmus+ program in cooperation with partners from the Czech Republic, Germany and Croatia.
The activity took place in the form of the Week of Science and Technology, which took place at the Czech partner Vocational school in Třemošnice. For the first time, mobility was carried out as an educational activity for students of participating schools.
The mobility lasted three days and was primarily focused on career counseling and development of professional skills. It was mainly attended by students of technical professions, supplemented by students of the business academy.
The opening day included getting to know each other, communication games and creative workshops. Pupils brought their own equipment and devices from school and learned to work with each other. They also competed for the most interesting technical invention. And above all, they prepared workplaces for the most important part – workshops for elementary school students. In the afternoon, they went on a joint trip to Čáslav.
They took place on the second day and were attended by pupils from 5 primary schools in the region. The students of the project schools prepared an interesting program for them in the form of games and preparatory workshops in programming, technical drawing, 3D printing, robotics and electrical engineering. Elementary school students could try practical activities themselves and check whether they are ready to study technical professions. The program was supplemented with activities for career counselors. There was also a trip to the cultural monuments of Kutná Hora.
The last day was dedicated to connecting theory with practice. Pupils went on an excursion to the Kovolis Hedvikov engineering company. The excursion was combined with a presentation and lecture by the responsible employee. The excursion was focused both on the presentation of the production program, on education in the company, as well as on the latest technologies. There was also a discussion focused on the assessment of students and employers, how education is linked to the needs of practice.
The project partners will meet next at a multinational project meeting in Oselce.
