At the beginning of April, the final mobility took place within the Erasmus+ project Technical innovations in theory and practice. The mobility was hosted by our partner Strukovna skola Durdevac and was attended by students from Slovak and Czech partners. The three-day mobility was completed by students from our school, secondary vocational schools in BBSK, Czech Oseliec and Třemošnice.
The subject of the mobility was an international competition of professional competences of the students of the participating schools. The main goal was not to win, but to gain new knowledge and skills in their fields. Mobility consisted of three parts - preparatory, competitive and leisure. On the first day, students got to know each other, formed international teams and practiced the content that was the subject of the competition the following days.
The competition itself was divided into two parts. The first – technical – focused on competences in the field of pneumatics, electro-pneumatics and PLC programming. Pupils worked in three-member international teams at the modernized workplaces of the Croatian school.
In addition to students from partner schools, the economic competition was also attended by high school students from nearby Koprivnica, with whom we also cooperate in international projects. The task of the five-member teams was to prepare a CV and motivation letter for a specific profession and then to handle the admission interview. They could show their creativity in the preparation of leaflets for the open day and on the last day in the preparation of the business plans of an ecologically focused company.
Pupils showed extraordinary skill and creativity in solving competitive tasks. At the same time, they worked for their team, learned to communicate and present the results of their work.
In addition to the professional program, the participants also learned about the region's attractions, such as the local Sahara, an information center and a small exotic zoo, where they could propose a name for a two-week-old baby camel.
The almost three-year project is slowly approaching its conclusion. It culminates in a multinational meeting in Třemošnice and a final conference in Detva.
