As part of the Technical Innovations in Theory and Practice project implemented through the Erasmus+ program, we organized the second mobility for teaching staff.
The mobility took place in the partner school Strukovna skola Durdevac with the participation of partners from Slovakia (Joined School Detva and the 1st Slovak Engineering Cluster) and the Czech Republic (SOŠ and SOUt Třemošnice and Middle School and Elementary School Oselce).
The mobility lasted 3 working days and its main goal was the verification and testing of the intellectual outputs of the project. Specifically, these were outputs in the form of educational programs and teaching materials. The target group is primarily employees involved in the preparation and implementation of intellectual outputs.
Mobility participants were involved in the direct teaching process of the host school, in the form of internships, direct teaching activities, open classes and workshops. They participated in both theoretical and practical teaching of students of technical and economic professions. We focused primarily on the following areas. Within electrical engineering, it was PLC programming, industrial robots, microcontrollers or circuit board designs. In mechanical engineering, we focused on CAD-CAM technologies, technical mechanics, pneumatics and automechatronics. Economics teachers concentrated on accounting and marketing.
Although the main goal was to verify outputs, mobility also benefited its participants in other areas. Czech and Slovak pedagogues could familiarize themselves with the education system in Croatia. A big difference from the education in their schools was the two-shift operation, which is a common practice in Croatian schools. They also became familiar with the way pupils are evaluated, their motivation and the challenges the school faces when innovating the school's educational program.
In addition to education at school, they also got to know the system of practical education at external workplaces of employers, as well as the school's cooperation with the university and the chamber of commerce.
The project continues in a few weeks with mobility for pupils at the partner school in Třemošnice.
