The oeuvre of Antoon Versteegde has been built up since the early 1980s and comprises a limited edition of bamboo art projects that were carried out at a specific location. They all were unique happenings that existed physically for a short time and never could be moved or traded. What remained are memories, sketches, photos, newspapers and sometimes a video. The legacy of the now retired artist is completed and a thing of our past. And yet, what he never could have imagined before, is that today there is renewed interest in his ephemeral works, thanks to blockchain technology and reappraisal of his well documented legacy.
