Walk under the Arches

For the international exhibition Tempus Arti, Antoon Versteegde devised an enormous bamboo installation of gates as a mall in the village park. But perhaps the most special: all constructions were built by school children of 10, 11 years old. Antoon wanted to show that making art with children does not have to lead to naive products.

Voor de internationale tentoonstelling Tempus Arti, bedacht Antoon Versteegde een enorme bamboe installatie van poorten als wandelgalerij in het dorpspark. Maar het meest bijzondere wellicht: alle constructies werden gebouwd door schoolkinderen van 10, 11 jaar. Antoon wilde laten zien dat kunst maken met kinderen niet tot naïeve producten hoeft te leiden.
