Some of the Deliverable we will be providing during our time in Venice B Term are:
- PreserVenice Website
- A clean and easy to use website, much like Arti.City where people can donate, see how much needs to be donated to a piece, and visualize the pieces on a map
- Include pages for specific artifacts
- Photos of artifacts
- Basic information about it
- Donation information for artifact
- Cleaned Up Dataset
- Already have a pre-existing Database but we want to make sure all the data is up to date and organized in a usable way
- This Deliverable may change once we are given access to the database and can actually assess the state it is in
- Database additions
- Public Art pieces in Giudecca cataloged including inscriptions
- Added to Database using CityKnowledge app
- PreserVenice Preservation Procedure Handbook
- Written out step by step process from money collection, to paperwork, to hiring restoration companies, making sure the restoration is properly completed, and finally thanking the donors who contributed
- This will take all the research that past IQPs have done on this topic (which is extensive) and put it in one place so that once the donations start coming in the people left in Italy will know how to handle it start to finish
- Social Media Campaign Set Up
- Facebook
- Facebook is one of the most popular social media platforms in Italy, and it gives the maximum possible outreach
- Instagram/SnapChat Filters
- Both of these are mostly visual media, which would provide a perfect interface for actually interacting with the art in some way
- We can also use these with our geocaching idea
- Email Marketing
- We will be targeting certain groups that will be more likely to donate ie. local business owners, landlords with public art pieces on their buildings
