A LITTLE BIT OF SOCIOLOGY

In this letter I will make clear how an individual's sense of belonging to the society is, and I will do so using an image which everyone knows, being football. Everyone has an opinion about football.

Let us say people are football players who play on teams with others. All are not equal as football players. And there are three schools in terms of description, regarding how a football player works. There are positivists. There are legalists. And there are creativists.

Positivism

Positivists will typically look at the individual in the society by describing the individual features that work together and form a social whole. They will typically focus on the defence players in the team, since the goalkeeper and the defenders universally are thought of as born to be what they are.

Legalism

Legalists will typically look at the individual in the society by describing the expectations that apply, expectations individuals meet by exercising roles. They will typically focus on the midfield players, who universally are thought of as complying with the norms of as they cooperate on the field.

Creativism

Creativists will typically look at the individual in the society by describing the spirit that characterizes the team, that is the spirit the players work in. They will typically focus on the attack players who universally are thought of as being hungry and competent by their creativity, whereby they work in the chief's spirit.

To positivists, a good football player is important. To legalists, is a good football player is decent. And to creativists, is a good football player is magnificent. And likely, they will argue horribly about how a footballer should be perceived.

But it will be terrible if football was used to illustrate the interaction of teams, organizations and nations! In football, responsibility is cultivated, and everyone train to be aggressive with the ball. And it is horrible, really, everyone is thinking of beating the opposed team! The aim of football should not be to beat the opposed team, but to win the opposed team. And that one will not do by scoring goals on it.

If the game of football had any future, the creativity, the strikers, were, of course, freed from the yard. The strikers should run freely, on the tribunes and everywhere, and make openings which the rest of the team could shoot the ball into. And also, they should dribble. The aim of the game of football should have been for the team to win the opposing team by dribbling them down.
