New Year

New Year came out in the time when Peter First ruled and it's still one of the most favourite and long-awaited holiday. In desember magic changes are taking place: all roads and rooftops are puted by blanket which was made by snow, trees and snowflakes that were cut from paper decorate the home's windows, people get a New Year tree in the middle of the living room and decorate this with the garlands which have hundreds of bright lights. Different decorations are everywhere. All talk about the holiday comming up.

This holiday is celebrated from 31st Desember to 1st January. At 31st Desembere here is special festive athmosphere. Children play and run around New Year tree and watch favourite films which showing become a kind of Russian thadition. Adult cook varied tasty dishes like chicken, salads (particularly Russian salad), snack. Many families have own traditional dishes that they make year by year.

So time runs and evening finally came. In Uzhur people like to celebrate New Year in the circle of the most close friends and relative. The hostess who has guests brings dishes to the table and verify every thing.

So here are guests with food and presents on the doorstep. Everyone begins to congratulate each other and give presents. Nobody will stay with empty hands, even obedient child will take his present.

Happy people sit at the table and begin to remember all events that happened with them. Here is smiles and laught at home. Everyone tastes dishes.

So it's time for TV greeting and chime corresponds. New Year meets you.

After that people start to eat again and one uncle-prankster will say "Oh, we are eating last year's food". This joke became a kind of traditional phrase. Then people turn music canals and just get a fun, dance and sing a songs. This holiday is only one when you can make a noise all night and don't be punished.

In Uzhur people also like to go for a walk at the area with New Year tree. Children and adult go down the same slide, take a photos and let off fireworks which reminds flowers in the winter sky. In this nice holiday everyone becomes very friendly and ready to congratulate every stranger in the street. Everyting is so beautiful. Then evryone come home or stay at home of the hostess.

Already in the day you can see children who walk with their friends at the street. Adult prefer to stay at home and have a good dream in this day.
