Our candy gram campaign took place during the week before valentines day. The idea of this is to bring that that fantastic middle school memory of someone confessing your love to you through a little note and a piece of chocolate around valentines day. So we set up for 3 different days in the library and tabled for around 4 hours each day, and allowed people to buy a fake flower and/or a piece of candy.
Although on paper, this campaign seemed like a great idea, we were met with bumps in the road when 5 other departments on campus did the same thing as us. We also ran into issues getting the candy grams to people. Between other departments having much more connections than we do, and the issue with the UT Email system sending emails to spam, this was one of the events that didn't go great, but we were grateful to give it a go.
If we never try something, we will never know how it goes.
