Student Assistant Employees routinely are called upon to persuade and sell ideas through department presentations. Dr. Peck's rubric is used before and after presentations for presenter self-reflections and student insight discussions with supervisors.

Guest Services Assistants support thousands of requests by on- and off-campus guests each year about student union and campus-wide programs, services and facilities. Student employees study and learn about resources, remaining up to date about new initiatives. These employees are assessed periodically about knowledge retention. Secret shoppers keep them alert about information accuracy and customer service.
Marketing student assistants produce colorful works that entice Matadors to attend USU programs. The team made a rapid change at the start of the pandemic to accommodate programs that shifted to virtual formats.
