Lessons

A Year 12 medicinal chemistry depth study by the School of Chemistry at UNSW, exploring how and why we repurpose drugs: On-campus one-day experience available in mid-late May and late November/December, supported by five online lessons and resources.

We will use computational modelling to design drug molecules and explore the relationship between structure and function. We will also look at key analytical techniques that medicinal chemists use every day, and get hands on experience with repurposing drugs for medicinal use!

1. Introduction to MedChem

2. Workshop: predicting logP

3. Proton and carbon-13 NMR

4. Infrared spectroscopy
