EXPERIENCES
To be able to produce globally competitive learners, educators shall be deeply inclined with the current practices of education. Acquiring different strategies to teach was made possible through the presence of the Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange in Southeast Asia.
As a student teacher exchange in the prosperous land of Thailand, I was welcomed with opportunities for me to prosper and grow as an educator ready to thrive in all facet of the world. They practice exemptional strategies when it comes to teaching and learning which kept my passion burning. The facilities, equipment and supplies are unlimited and free, which keeps their Education for All program consistent throughout the generation.
Thus, This blog encapsulates my Student teacher exchange journey alongside with the trends, traditions, culture, food, aspirations, motivation, resources and advancements I earned through the duration of learning events. Foreshadowing the future, I am positive that I will always strive to be the best teacher that I can be through continuous professional development, researches, etiquettes, attributes and international involvements.
Indeed, learning is a never-ending process.
PERSONAL INFORMATION
Greetings everyone! This is Karen Nicole R. Somera from the University of Northern Philippines, 21 years of age. I am one of the student exchange teachers in Udon Thani, Thailand. This is a dream come true for me as at such a young age, I did not expect that I would be able to go abroad and show what I got in the field of teaching and learning.
I am a determined individual who wants to become a passionate and competent science educator. I love imparting knowledge to others and writing opinion, literary and feature articles through our College publication. This journey helped me to bring out my skills, abilities and talents at their finest state. To be chosen as one of the participants of this program is an honor. So, this blog is a treasure that will forever remind me of the journey that I once experienced.
This blog's title is "Unmatched Teaching Trajectory" this speaks of how I reached the sky through teaching. That we can fly and spread our wings through our dreams. We just have to believe in ourselves and be better each day. For me, this is unmatched for this is my first time going on a foreign country and I believe, firsts are always unmatched.
