 Here on a Signs page you will see a list of signs of Autism according to Dr. Doreen Granpeesheh

1.They may not respond to greetings appropriately or not at all.

2.They may not respond to or understand others emotions such as somebody crying, and they do not react or seem to notice. 

3.They may lack empathy or feelings for others such as a sad family member. 

4.They may not make or maintain eye contact, and may not react appropriately to body gestures, or react to, understand, or use facial expressions. 

5.They may have difficulty starting, maintaining and ending conversation.

6.They may have difficulty making and maintaining relationships. 

7.They may have difficulty with language. 

8.They may have difficulty with pretend play.

9.They may not show or share thins or experiences.

10.They may fixate on things, routines, interests, and line up objects in a certain way and order.

11.They may repeat words or phrases, they may ask the same questions, they may repeat what you say or ask them over and over.

12.They may do hand flapping, body rocking, humming, and make high pitch noises.

13.They may have adverse responses to specific sounds and textures or do excessive smelling or touching of objects. They may appear indifferent to pain/heat/cold. They may have a fascination with water, lights, and shiny or spinning objects.

14.They may cover their ears.

15.They may have surprising strength when agitated or scared.

16.They may run and or hide when upset or scared.

17.They may wander and not be aware of their surroundings.

18.They may not answer questions the way you would expect them to.

19.They may take what you say literally.

20.They may toe walk.

21.They may need extra time to process information.

22.They may have underdeveloped trunk muscles.
