Grace Minnes

Experimental Psychology Representative

Grace Minnes (she/her/hers) is a fourth-year in the MS/PhD Experimental Psychology program. She is from Cleveland, Ohio and graduated with her BA in Cognitive Behavioral Neuroscience from the College of Wooster. Here at the University of Memphis, she works under Dr. Nicholas Simon in his animal behavior lab. Her research focuses on the delayed punishment decision-making, risky decision-making, and the neurobiological mechanisms that may be involved. In her free time, she enjoys weight lifting and hiking, as well as anything music related. She loves being active outside but also loves being at home with her two fur babies watching Netflix.

Grace's advice to graduate students:

Don’t skip get-togethers with other grad students in your lab (or in other labs). These are your people, colleagues, and friends who you’ll be with almost every day! It’s a good way to start making friends when you first start here.
