Part I: Universal Design for Learning
What is UDL?
What is UDL?
UDL is an educational approach to teaching, learning, and assessment, drawing on new brain research and new media technologies (CAST, 2003)
Is a set of principles for curriculum development that gives all individuals equal opportunities to learn, to communicate what they know, and to engage in learning that interests them.
UDL is not a set method for instruction, but rather a framework for instructional design and delivery that is built on the principle that all students can learn; multiple means of content delivery and student assessment should be part of daily lessons and planning to enhance the learning process (Thoma, et.al., 2009).
