Teeth Anesthetized

  • Maxillary anteriors and possibly bicuspids and MB of first molar

Other Tissue Anesthetized

  • Bone adjacent to teeth, facial periosteum, gingiva, mucosa

MSA

Injection Site

  • Greatest concavity of the mucobuccal fold adjacent to the 2nd premolar

Depth of Insertion

  • Variable

Deposition Site

  • Approximate the root apex of the 2nd premolar

Amount Deposited

Other Tissue Anesthetized

  • Associated PDL, adjacent bone and buccal soft tissues

PSA

Injection Site

  • Height of the vestibule just distal to the zygomatic process

Depth of Insertion

  • About 1.5 cm (2/3 the length of a short needle or 1/2 the length of a long needle)

Deposition Site

  • Approximate between the DB root of M2 and the MB root of the M3

Amount Deposited

  • 1.0 - 1.8 mL

Teeth Anesthetized

  • Maxillary molars (except for the MB root of the 1st molar)

Other Tissue Anesthetized

  • Associated PDL, adjacent bone and buccal soft tissues

Nasopalatine

Injection Site
