Throughout my career and education at ASU, I have developed and refined a set of core competencies that have enabled my success as a leader and manager. In my career I have led teams on eleven successful overseas deployments across multiple continents and oceans. Each of these deployments required an immense amount of discipline and Delegation to manage highly skilled people and millions of dollars of equipment thousands of miles from headquarters. A part of this success was bringing diverse teams of pilots together for a single purpose through fostering positive Team Dynamics & Collaboration and effectively managing Conflict Resolution. I have also demonstrated Social & Cross-Cultural Skills in managing diverse and multi-cultural teams and teaching foreign military members the skills, techniques, and discipline needed to effectively maintain and operate unmanned systems.
When I made the decision to continue my education at ASU, I chose to follow the Organizational Leadership (Project Management) program. This program enabled me to continue honing my leadership knowledge and skills, while simultaneously teaching me the skills necessary for project management. While working through the curricula, I was able to better define and cultivate my core competencies towards Project Management. It is through the development of these core competencies, I am better able to serve my organization and team members. Through this program I learned the technical, theoretical, and practical knowledge to enable me to take my career to the logical next step.
