Creating this Electronic Portfolio (EP) was a challenging but rewarding process. The primary objective of creating this document is to highlight and reflect on my educational journey throughout my time with ASU. My education at ASU also refined the leadership skills I attained in my professional experience with the Navy, as a defense contractor, and as a leader at a startup company.
The biggest challenge in creating the content for this portfolio was framing and reflecting on the situation presented in the Personal Case Analysis. It is sometimes difficult to remove the emotions connected to situations from the past. Writing each installment of the Personal Case Analysis was an exercise in recalling the past details while sifting through the current hindsight and mindset of today.
However, once I was able to separate the facts of the situation from my thoughts of today, it was a very interesting and enlightening process to analyze the situation. Decisions surrounding the situation which seemed to be outrageous at the time, now appear different under new light. Analyzing the situation from the different frameworks has been therapeutic in a way that some of the past frustrations can be explained.
I am pleased with how this Electronic Portfolio has unfolded in a way that closely matches my vision. I set out to utilize this platform as a showcase for how I have developed since starting my education at ASU and in that sense I feel I have accomplished that goal. Please explore this portfolio to read about my personal case analysis and core competencies of Project Management, Conflict Resolution, Team Dynamics & Collaboration, Social & Cross Cultural Skills, and Delegation.
