Following the model of Rutger Bregman's School for Moral Ambition, the TVUUC ForUUm will be hosting a Moral Ambition Circle to encourage young professionals, entrepreneurs, and academics to find ways to align their career goals with their personal values, interests, and activism.
Joining a moral ambition circle "means you will be part of a small, dynamic group of ambitious idealists, all exploring how they can make the greatest impact by leveraging their unique skills, network, and position."
It is a global movement that started in Bregman's home country of Belgium, and has over 23,000 circle participants in 140+ countries. It's time to bring some moral ambition to Knoxville!
We'll be kicking it off with a discussion of moral ambition at the TVUUC "Flip Service" on Feb. 22, 2026 at 11AM.
The Moral Ambition Circle is a structured program with readings, research, and networking exercises designed to help you find your moral ambition and plot a realistic action plan to achieve your goals.
If you are interested, please contact Aaron Tyrrell (aarontyrrell@tvuuc.net) to coordinate schedules with the other circle members. This will be a small group of 5-10 people who all commit to attending each of the 3 sessions and completing the readings and exercises.
