As the time is right to go external with Tupapakurau Rongā Wananga and therefore have processes in placed to allow this tacit knowledge to leave my hapu and whanau. 

Aware that this particular special knowledge is not written in any form of Academia or Turnbull library Research whatsoever so this is very much belonging to myself, my whanau and my hapu. Thank you. You are here to learn to listen and listen to learn because you are an valuable person in reviving such taonga tuku iho that was only privied to mine for generations. It is impossible to try and use some of these tools for self-employment or to teach others until you have been given the 'all go!' from myself, please do not feel it's yours to deliver this kaupapa especially if you have not gained any traditional practices for tikanga preservations of your own loved ones first. Hapu Proposal and/or Group Proposal (Externals Funded)

Fee $350 (2024)

All fees are the responsible of the Hapu. Hapu needs to collate the fees and deposit to the given account provided Wednesday before the set Wananga date.

Deposit: Full Amount. Example: 25 adults @$350 each = NZ$8750.00 + Kms return (174 Kaitara road, Te Karaka to venue and return) @ $1.50 per km. 

Host responsibilities:

#Venue/accommodation - not subject to building sites. Space to camp or shelter beds. Venue around fire (pit or open fire space)

#Catering - All catering needs. 

#Resources 

1. Wood to keep the fire going throughout the Wananga. 

2. Buckets for each person to fill with soil. Each adult needs to attend prepared for wet days/nights. 

3. Glass Jars to fill with the mixed soils. 

4. Oils/hinu. Any of the following to bring: Grapeseed oil, olive oil, pork fat, beef fat, whale oil, titi oil and or Sunflower Oils. 

5. If seats of sort are not available, then each person is responsible to bring their own to the Wananga.

The Fees is for the Kaupapa to be delivered and not used for anything to do with the setting up of the Proposal. $300 per adult will need to be paid in full by the Wednesday date before the proposed dates. Hapu/group or Hauora are responsible for full payment of the numbers attending. 

Registrations is still developing for all new proposals and individuals who would like to be members of the Kaupapa.

Please do not negotiate other ways as this Kaupapa will not be approved and automatically declined.
