Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) is a technology that allows a robot to map itself and estimate its position in an unknown environment using a variety of sensor information.
To get where you want to go, you need to know the entire map and where you are. Similarly, robots need to know this information to perform SLAM to build a map and estimate their current position in real-time.
In our lab, we are working on visual SLAM, LiDAR SLAM, and fusion SLAM using a sensor fusion method.
