Scholarship Information

Sufficient financial aid packages are crucial to college students. TRIO/SSS participants are advised of the various types of financial aid available and application procedures. Additional scholarship opportunities may be available to qualifying TRIO/SSS participants.

The TRIO/SSS Federal Student Scholarship Award is provided by the U.S. Department of Education to support the educational pursuits of outstanding TRIO/SSS participants. Scholarship amounts are dependent upon program funding. These competitive awards are primarily reserved for freshmen and sophomore participants who are in good academic standing, Pell Grant eligible, and have been active members of the program for at least one semester. Candidates must complete the mandatory application process and qualifying requirements.

Who can apply

Applicants must be graduating high school seniors or current college students. Students must complete application and essay as well as provide academic transcripts and a photo. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Purpose

To help students pursue higher education.

CareerFitter Scholarship

Who can apply

Applicants must be planning to enroll or already enrolled in accredited college or graduate school program. Students must take a career test on Career Fitter's website and include the results on their application. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

To support students in pursuing their college educations.

Most Valuable Student Scholarships

Who can apply

Applicants must be graduating high school seniors who are U.S. citizens and who plan to pursue a four-year degree on a full-time basis at a U.S. college or university. Male and female students compete separately.

Purpose

To support high school seniors who have demonstrated scholarship, leadership and financial need.
