About the Book

Have you ever wanted to read a book so badly you couldn't stand it? Derrick felt that way and decided to take matters into his own hands. Author RM Haldon finds himself chained up in a cabin at the mercy of Derrick and his mother. They force him to write at a treadmill desk every day.  They are expecting him to write the last book in his epic fantasy series, Swords and Shadows, that his fans have been waiting for for quite a while. Not only will they get rich, but Derrick will also get to read it first.

Haldon's only hope is his seventeen year old research assistant, Bridget. He hired her after meeting her at one of his book signings. She had an unbelievable amount of knowledge of his books and could recall small details even he couldn't.  Bridget and her mother had sought refuge in Haldon's books when her mom was losing her battle with cancer. It was a way for them to escape their reality.

Now the question is, will Bridget be able to decode the cryptic clues in time to save Haldon?
