About the Author
Watt Key is the oldest of seven children. He was raised in Point Clear, Alabama, a remote stretch of low-lying coastline. Books and stories were a large part of his childhood. He began writing stories at an early age. Alabama Moon was his first book to be published, but it wasn’t the first one he wrote. Watt lives in south Alabama with his wife and three children.
About the Book
Twelve-year-old Sam has been given a fishing boat by his father, but he hates fishing. Instead, he uses the boat to explore the forbidden swamp around his Gulf Shore home. One day Sam discovers a boy named Davey repairing an abandoned cabin in the deep woods. Sam knows Davey isn’t telling him the whole story as to why he is out there, but tries to help. However, this leads to a chain of lies that grow bigger and bigger and lead to more danger for Sam and Davey.
