Day 3 – Mass
As usual, our morning started with waking up, making breakfast, and praying the Office of Readings followed by morning prayer.
Today was pretty cool, we got to see a lot of amazing spots along the trail. At one point, the path took us through a rock valley where we were surrounded by massive rocks the whole time, which was awesome. We also came across a small cemetery and took a moment to do a reflection there.
We met up with some special guests today as well, since they were bringing us more food and supplies. Once everyone arrived at camp with the new gear and visitors, we were able to have Mass on the trail. Father Max graciously joined us and celebrated Mass for the group. We even got to enjoy fresh food such as a salad, which was probably the best food we’d had the entire trip.
But the sad part was that it was Brother Roman’s last day with us. We all bid him farewell, and after that, our special guests, Father Max and Brother Roman headed out.
Later, while trying to kill some free time, Dr. Krom, Peter , Luke, and Aiden all went rock climbing. We spent a couple of hours climbing the rocks near our campsite, and it was honestly pretty awesome.
As the night wound down, we celebrated Leo’s birthday with some cake and relaxed around the campfire together.
