Day 2 – Magic

Day two started with us waking up, making breakfast, and praying the Office of Readings together. After that, we hiked up a mountain that used to be a ski resort. At the top, there was a lake in the middle and a small patio area where we sat down for lunch and mid-day prayer.

After eating, we spent about an hour meditating on our journey so far. We all split up and found our own spots around the mountaintop, looking out at the views, writing in our journals, and reflecting on everything that had happened so far.

Once our meditation time wrapped up, we got back on the trail and headed toward our next destination. When we reached our campsite, we set up camp like usual,  gathered wood, got our water sorted out, and cooked dinner. After evening prayer, we found out it was Leo’s birthday eve, so Brother Roman celebrated by showing us some magic tricks. The light lifted our spirits, and it really pleased Leo, which made all of us very happy.
