Our school uniform is an important part of our school identity. It creates a sense of belonging and shared sense of expectation.
A variety of uniform options are available both online and through 'click and collect' through PSW Croydon.

School uniform is also a compulsory expectation. With this in mind, any students out of uniform are required to have a note of explanation from their parents. Students who do not have a hat are also not allowed to play outside in exposed areas. A commonly referred to phrase is, 'no hat, no play'.
As previously mentioned, our Specialists program is also a highlight of the week for our students. For these days, students will need an art smock for Visual Arts. We keep these on site and manage them for you once they are received. A handy hint is to get a waterproof art smock as they keep out paint and all art smocks must be named.
During summer months, along with wearing a hat, sunscreen is advisable, but is at parental discretion. We advise parents to purchase roll-on sunscreen as it is easier for children to apply independently.
Eastwood Primary School and Deaf Facility has embraced the nude food philosophy and encourages children to bring a rubbish free lunch to school. 'Nude Food’ is food that comes to school without disposable packaging – extra plastic bags, paper bags, wrappings, plastic water bottles or cling wraps. Australia is the second highest producer of waste per person in the western world! Unfortunately, school lunches contribute to this, with the average lunch-toting child generating around 30 kg of litter a year. As we are a Resource Smart School, you can do your bit to reduce this by packing a school lunch without including any extra packaging or juice packs.
As you can see from the picture below, this is a great example of healthy food choices and a nude food lunch box to guide you.
Students are dismissed each day from their classroom doors. Foundation children are not allowed to leave without supervision. Older siblings within the school or confirmed friends or relatives are allowed to pick children up as long as the school has been notified in writing.
Please refer to our Foundation Information Booklet for details regarding parking around our school. The streets around Eastwood are regularly subject to parking inspectors. Please note: we have a drop off zone at the very front of the school but you may not leave your car - please be warned and observe parking regulation signs as this is heavily monitored by local by-law inspectors.
In the event of an accident or sickness, you will be notified through Compass by our school First Aid Officer. Accidents or sickness which increase in severity will be followed up with direct phone communication.
