Contrast: Contrasted dark and light, soft and hard lines, organic and inorganic
Proximity: Related information grouped together in text, still fairly close to image
Alignment: Aligned straight line next to stem and text- tried to make it about the same length as the text and a stem segment between leaves, used left alignment to kind of mirror the leaves,
Color: Used USU blue and white for the campus branch of the DSA, and also for a silhouette look
Repetition: repeadted vertical lines in shape by text and stem, used left alignment to kind of mirror the leaves, repeated colors throughout the whole piece
Used an online image for the rose. Looked up the RGB code for USU blue and put that into the color picker. Selected all parts of the flower image and filled it with the USU blue. Chose a sans-serif font. Created a thin vertical line with the rectangle tool and aligned the text. Moved these elements around until I found a place where I kind of liked them.
