The Caption for Photo #1: A special day with Mom at Hellriegel's Inn pictured in my boyhood home of Painesville, Ohio. The occasion itself is long forgotten — but she never is.
Backstory and context for this photo:
Though mom has departed this world, I think about her almost every day. The photo of mom in front of Hellriegel's was pictured by my dad. My father is equally amazing — in that dad sort of way. The photo of mom and I must have been pictured during the late 80s. While mom has departed this earth, you can still dine at Hellreigel's. Before taking the Oval Office, John F. Kennedy stumped for the presidency in Lake County and he stopped right here at the country-club-style Hellriegel's Inn.
If you visit Hellriegel's Inn for dinner, you will see photos from JFK's historic visit on display. The photos of JFK are right there in the lobby. Growing up and seeing this in Painesville, Ohio affected me. I'd think to myself "JFK stood, right here. He's the reason we got to the moon."
Then, eventually my travels would take me to other places beyond Painesville, Ohio. Yet, now, in my mind, this place is similar to the historic Rice Hotel in Houston. In other words, in one way or another, each place is hallowed ground.

Caption Photo #2: Before dinner, a selfie I had pictured in front of a historic hotel located at the base of Mount Washington in New Hampshire. Find more details about this place in the portfolio photo set named: The Mountains of New Hampshire .
