Designed for French Creek Medical in Cleveland, Ohio
BACKGROUND:
This postcard was mailed locally to physical therapy clinics and hospitals in the greater Cleveland, Ohio area during late December.
This was mailed over a decade ago. It would be at this time of year, that the competing medical supply vendors would begin to mail updated price lists for the coming year — and the prices never decreased. Prices always went up.
It is also at this point that customers and prospects would begin to look for a more cost-effective solution to resupply their clinics.
For many clinicians, French Creek Medical could be that solution between the years of 2003-2019.
Then, around year 2019, Amazon Prime came to town. After year 2019, Amazon Prime was able to do the same thing that French Creek Medical was doing - with the (nearly) free local delivery - however, Amazon was much better-funded than my little venture had been. Amazon had more delivery contractors and these were people who worked and delivered orders seven (7) days a week.
One more point: In many ways, Amazon was able to bring manufacturers on-board to sell directly to customers - without the need for a dealer network.
Meanwhile, the Wayfair decision changed the tax laws for ecommerce companies who were shipping products across state lines.
Anyhow, French Creek Medical had a good run of sales - while it lasted. This postcard had been part of that momentum - from a bygone era.
Please note: Offer expired years ago. French Creek Medical closed during Q1 of 2019 when Amazon moved into Cleveland and when the Wayfair decision forever changed the sales tax code for internet shippers who sent products across state lines which would necessitate collecting sales tax in 45 states and getting 45 separate vendor licenses. In other words 1) There became too much red tape to continue doing business the way business had been done before the Wayfair decision was put in place. 2) There became too much competition. For example, there were many companies selling the very same thing and the competition had deeper pockets than F.C.M. did and the competition owned the product lines. 3) Profit margins shrank because everybody was selling the same products. 4) Then Amazon Prime came to town. Once they were established, Amazon was able to deliver the products within their Amazon Prime program.

BACKGROUND:
1. 100% of the artwork for the mailer was created in-house.
2. 100% of the ad production was also completed in-house using desktop publishing software and off-the-shelf office equipment.
