Nina Jaster is a mixed media artist who formally studied Art, Craft, and Design, combining an institutional foundation with a deeply personal, self-taught approach to her practice. Her work bridges the gap between the earthly and the cosmic. Utilizing a unique blend of oil or acrylic paints, epoxy resin, and hand-gathered botanical elements, she creates textured, multi-dimensional pieces that capture the fleeting beauty of nature and the infinity of existence.

Inspired by the concept of cyclical life and the deeply metaphysical connection between humanity and the universe, the artist transforms found organic materials, leaves, twigs, and pressed flowers collected during her walks, into timeless celestial narratives. Through the protective and glossy medium of resin, these elements are preserved in perpetuity, inviting the viewer to reflect on transformation, the unstoppable passage of time, and our shared cosmic origins.

This piece explores the concepts of preservation, and the passage of time. Created using oil paints and sealed under a glossy layer of epoxy resin, the composition features deep shades of emerald green, purples, and blues. At its heart, precise spirals of silver wire encircle a central sphere of light, woven with hand gathered dried flora and pressed orchids. The artwork stands as a poignant reflection on the bittersweet beauty of a "Paradise Lost" and the untamed, unstoppable cycles of nature.

A powerful visual narrative of transition and self discovery. The composition centers on an ethereal, luminous human silhouette emerging from a rich, shadowy darkness. The figure is framed by a dense, tactile texture of dried, compressed leaves and twigs embedded beneath a smooth layer of epoxy resin, creating a mysterious primal portal. This juxtaposition of raw organic matter and glowing light reflects the boundary between the known and the unknown, capturing the exact moment of inner transformation. 

Nebula of Stardust

This piece explores the metaphysical truth that we are all fundamentally made of stardust, bound by a universal consciousness. Set against a deep cosmic backdrop of acrylics and celestial dust, two elongated souls stretch across the universe to meet at a central nexus, forming a cosmic eye. The pupil is anchored by a star shaped dried flower, symbolizing deep spiritual connection, while a radiant golden starburst illuminates the void. Intentionally left with an open, infinite quality, it suggests that looking into the cosmos is ultimately looking into ourselves.
